Genovese basil seeds will give you beautiful dark green basil leaves, with a famously concentrated flavour. Genovese basil is fiercely protected by the people of Genoa, who take pesto very seriously!

Use your leaves to make a rich and heady Genovese pesto, or to garnish peeled tomatoes with mozzarella and olives.

Packet includes 120 seeds. Plants grow to 40cm tall and 20cm wide.

How to grow Genovese basil

• Sow indoors Feb-Mar
• Germinating time 5-10 days.
• Harvest in 40-60 days.
• Keep in full sun to partial shade.
• Water regularly, but not too much
